Cracked windshield, smashed door glass, a window that won't roll up, or a highway rock chip — we replace and repair auto glass, and recalibrate the driver-assist cameras in-house.
Break-ins, hail, and everyday mishaps leave a lot of Edmonton vehicles with a smashed side window. We replace door glass, quarter glass, vent glass and back glass — and we clean the broken glass out of the door and the interior, which is half the job people forget about. Do that part wrong and you're finding glass in your carpet for a year.
A window that grinds, drops into the door, or won't go up in the cold is usually a failed regulator or motor, not the glass itself — a classic Edmonton winter problem. We diagnose which part actually failed and fix it so the window seals against the weather again instead of letting -30 air and snow into the door.
Alberta's gravel highways are hard on windshields. A small rock chip caught early can often be repaired before it spreads into a crack that needs a whole new windshield — and in a deep cold snap, a small chip can run right across the glass overnight. Get it looked at early and it's a cheap fix. When a windshield is too far gone to repair, we replace it — and on newer vehicles with driver-assist cameras mounted at the glass, we recalibrate those systems in-house. A lot of shops send that calibration out or skip it; we do it here, so your lane-keeping and automatic emergency braking aim correctly once the new glass is in.
One more thing worth knowing: comprehensive auto insurance usually covers glass, and a lot of Alberta policies carry a low or zero glass deductible. Bring us your claim details and we'll help you work out whether a claim makes sense before you pay out of pocket.

Frequently asked questions
My door window got smashed — can you fix it fast?
Usually, yes. Door and side glass for common vehicles is often available quickly, and we'll confirm timing when you call. We also vacuum the broken glass out of the door mechanism and the interior — an important part of the job, since loose glass jams the window and turns up in your carpet for months if it's left.
My power window won't go up. Is that the glass or the motor?
Most often it's neither the glass nor the motor exactly — it's the regulator, the mechanism that raises and lowers the window, and winter is hard on them. Sometimes it is the motor. We'll tell you which part failed and quote the fix before we do it, instead of just replacing everything.
Should I repair the rock chip or replace the whole windshield?
If the chip is small and not right in your line of sight, a repair is usually cheaper and keeps your original factory glass. Once it spreads into a longer crack, replacement is the safe call. On Alberta gravel highways, catching chips early is what saves you the bigger bill — a cold night can turn a dime-sized chip into a windshield-length crack.
My windshield has a camera behind it — does that change anything?
Yes, and it matters. A lot of newer vehicles have driver-assist cameras mounted at the windshield, and after a replacement those systems have to be recalibrated to aim correctly. We do the ADAS calibration in-house as part of the job — many glass shops send it out or skip it — so your lane-keeping and automatic emergency braking work the way they should when you drive away.
