ZF's own semi-synthetic automatic transmission fluid, developed for ZF 8HP automatic passenger car transmissions. It carries ZF approval number ZF000020 and is listed in ZF's lubricant list TE-ML 11. ZF says only LifeguardFluid 8 or LifeguardFluid 9 may be used in these transmissions, so confirm your unit in TE-ML 11 before filling.

ZF LifeguardFluid 8 has been specially developed for usage in 8HP automatic passenger car transmissions from ZF. The friction behavior has been optimally adapted for this transmission and is consistent over the entire service life. These features are a prerequisite for perfect shifting characteristics and vibration-free operation. ZF LifeguardFluid 8 thus fulfills the most demanding requirements on the transmission's comfort behavior.

Please note that only ZF LifeguardFluid 8 or ZF LifeguardFluid 9 may be used for these transmissions (where applicable, also available as genuine spare part from the relevant Original Equipment Manufacturer). Using other oils can lead to various adverse effects, ranging from significant deterioration in shifting characteristics to transmission failure.
Important: Please attend strictly the list of lubricants ZF TE-ML 11!
Small container (up to 20 l) must be shaken vigorously for at least 15 s before removing the oil.
Additives of any kind added later to the oil change the oil in a manner that is unpredictable, and they are therefore not permitted.
