A full synthetic ester/PAO 5W-30 for late-model European gasoline and diesel engines, including VW TDI models and BMW 3-series diesels. It is formulated to reduce low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), and its low ash content is meant to be compatible with diesel particulate filters. Red Line lists it as a suitable replacement where specs such as BMW LL-04, MB 229.51 and VW 504.00/507.00 are called for; these are Red Line's recommendations, not factory approvals, so check your owner's manual before use.
