A copper-coloured, high-temperature RTV silicone gasket maker for exhaust manifolds and headers, turbocharger applications and other hot parts such as pumps, valve covers and thermostat housings. It is sensor-safe, low odour and non-corrosive, rated for continuous use from -54°C to 316°C (-65°F to 600°F) and intermittent use up to 371°C (700°F). Not for cylinder head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.

Permatex Ultra Copper is a high temperature RTV gasket maker, resisting temperatures up to 700°F (371°C). Ultra Copper is tested to exceed OEM specifications and is ideal for high temperature applications such as turbocharger applications and exhaust systems.

The product dries tack free in one hour and fully cures in 24 hours. After 7 days at 25°C (77°F), 50% Relative Humidity: Hardness (Shore A) >26; Elongation, % >350; Tensile Strength, N/mm2 (psi) >1.4 (>203). Temperature Resistance: Continuous, °C (°F) -54 to 316 (-65 to 600); Intermittent, °C (°F) -54 to 371 (-65 to 700). The product retains effective properties in contact with most shop fluids, automotive fluids, such as motor oil, transmission fluids, alcohol and antifreeze solutions. Typical applications: Pumps, Compressors, Exhaust manifolds/headers, Valve covers, Oil pans, Thermostat housings, Gearboxes.

Treat rate

Cut nozzle to desired bead size, 1/16" to 1/4" in diameter. An 1/8" bead is usually sufficient for most applications.
